Daemonia Nymphe
Tyrvasia
Self released
Greek band Daemonia Nymphe seek to recreate the music made in ancient times. They use
traditional instruments and are not a commonplace band. The group consists of Evi Stergiou and
Spyros Giasafakis. This album is brief, but has a haunting mood that lasts long after it has
stopped playing. The lenghty opening track makes it easy to picture a ritual in old Greece. The
beautiful voclas make it very accessible.
Elsewhere Daemonia Nymphe continue to create a peculiar magic by their unusual instruments
and complex rhythms.
There are not many bands doing what this band can do and that makes them truly special.
