Clive Nolan and Oliver Wakeman
Jabberwocky
Verglas Music
Based on a Lewis Carrol (Alice in Wonderland and other mind-bending
stories), Clive Nolan (known for his work with Arena, Pendragon, Shadowland
and Strangers On A Train) and Oiver Wakeman (son and rightful heir of Rick Wakeman of the Yes), have released a masterpiece which bridges the power and
the glory of good ol' symphonic rock with the immediacy and infectious nature
of the stage musical. Theatrical by nature, rocking by deliverance and
magnificent in its extravagant execution, this release is bound to capture
the willing audience with its exquisite performance, its intrepid concepts
and humour and its star-studded musician crew - the crème della crème of
the current British all-stars.
In my mind, Jabberwocky is already up there in the elitist pantheon of
the rare musical rock-opera releases like Who's Tommy, Pink Floyd's
The Wall, A440's Ulysses - the Greek Suite and Pretty Things' S.F. Sorrow.
