Daughter consists of Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguielella. This is their debut album of suitably atmospheric music topped with Tonra's gorgeous vocals.

"Smother" is a soft song with dark vocals that Tonra intones in a believable way. The guitars sound just right. "Still" is another song that shows off the trio's ability to create glacial soundscapes with emotional depth. "Tomorrow" is intricately woven reverb against Tonra's anguished vocals. It works just fine. The dreamy atmosphere is masterfully evoked. "Amsterdam" is a lovely song, Tonra's sinuous whisper weaving against a subtle backing. Daughter have accomplished a stunning debut all told.
