Whitehorse is Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland and this way too short album proves what they can do.

"Killing Time is Murder" is a rustic song, with suitably morbid lyrics, and it features strong harmonies and a lovely tune. "Passenger 24" is a thrilling piece of modern folk, with a sensual vocal lead by McClelland. The melody recalls Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" a little. The cover of Springsteen's "I'm on Fire" done as a duet works really well. Their voices are made for each other. It's a great testament to their skill.

It's a lovely album that's over too soon.
