Assembly of Dust
Some Assembly Required
Rock Ridge Music
This new album by Assembly of Dust boasts some memorable guests, and a focused performance by the band. Reid Genauer and his group have a lot to tell.
"All That I Am Now" is enhanced by the great Richie Havens, and it's a suggestive track. "Cold Coffee" features David Grisman and it's a solid, likeable Americana
track that somehow recalls Neil Young's seventies sound. "Light Blue Lover" has fine guests in Grace Potter and Tony Rice, and it's a poppy and truly appealing moment.
Genauer's very evocative here. "Straight" has the brilliant Theresa Andersson on board, and it's a rueful mediation on the lot of the artist. It's a very engaging album
all told.
