"BMX" is the second single from the Australian shoegazing dream-pop duo City of Satellites (Thomas Diakomichalis and Jarrod Manuel) debut album, Machine Is My Animal. It is accompanied with a stunning sci-fi-ish video, directed by another Australian, Dael Oates.

"BMX" is a delightful, atmospheric pop-tune. It moves in a musing synth-shaped soundscape, where Jarrod Manuel's wistful, angelic voice shines. And yet, "BMX" has a distinct vintage feel to it, the core is futuristic.

And it is this mixture of hope and longing, that makes City of Satellites and "BMX" such a delightful treat. And, I assume; a great opener for the album.
