The Blue Seeds have an in truing, cinematic sound on this record. Singer Amelie Laflamme has a voice to fall in love with, equally innocent and seductive.

Opener "Barcelona" hits all the right spots, widescreen yet intimate with a killer chours. 'Barcelona you stole my love', sighs Laflamme. "Lost Highway" is like a French chanson version of Mazzy Star with emphasis on the sinuous guitar line and splendid vocal. "A Quick Killing in Art" finds beauty in sadness and loneliness. Laflamme's prescenc is strong here.

"My Fairweather Friend" hints at a softer, more melodious Velvet Underground fronted by Sarah Cracknell. It works just fine. This album is a delight.
