The Nadas play a cunning blend of music that's very anthemic at times on this album. Opener "Loser" charges along with great pathos and insight. The lead vocal is strikingly delivered. "Goodnight Girl" has a pleasant Americana feel that's underscored by the band's playing. The lyrics are poetic and kind of sad, with a lot of feeling. It's like Wilco back in the day.

"Something's Burning" sees the band at their most sensitive, the lead singer negotiating his way across a guitar-led track with great feeling. "Feel Like Home" sees the band playing an appealing and warm kind of rock that's very radio friendly but without the need for compromise. It's a very good album all told.
