Luke Jackson
And Then Some
Popsicle Recordings
Luke Jackson went to Sweden to record this poppy effort and he's succeeded in making a sympathetic record. "Come Tomorrow" is bright and hopeful, Jackson's
vocal wide-eyed and happy. "Goodbye London" bids a fond farewell to the English capital in a Britpop fashion. Blur should be happy to call the song theirs in
their prime.
"Half A World Away" is zippy and up-tempo, attribute to life on the road. Jackson's vocal is sweetly expressive to the poppy melody. "Longest Day" successfully
combines sadness with an up-tempo tune, Jackson's clearly good at that sort of a thing. He's had good help from members of Brainpool and that makes for a good
record. His new record is just fine.
