Screwtape Lewis
Finding Ways To Self Destruct
self-released
Screwtape Lewis follows an admirable debut with a new album of new wave-flavored rock that's just as good. Frontman Randl Lewis Bailer has penned some catchy tunes this time round too.
"Dum Dum" has a very eighties flavor but is clearly of today. It's a dancefloor filler if ever I heard one. "Musik For Girls" is edgy and closer to modern sounds, Bailer sings in a dark fashion. "The Tyranny Of Little Things" is more reflective, a midtempo very new wave sounding song. "Flags of Perpetual Defeat" is minimalistic synth pop handled in a good way, Bailer half-speaking his words before an explosive chorus. Screwtape Lewis has made another good album.
