John Dissed is guitarist with the punk band Bull Lee whom I've reviewed here before. His solo EP is entirely acoustic and reflects a more sensitive side than you'd find with his regular band.

"Future's Bright" is downright optimistic and sweet. "Sundown Sometime" is more strident and offers some neat guitar playing. Dissed has a battle-scarred but distinctive voice that comes across well here. "Next to you" ends the EP on a high note, Dissed singing of missing his love. It's a very nice little EP and an interesting change of pace for Dissed. Let's hope he explores it further sometime.
