The young singer Jason Ayres debuts with a back to basics approach, his songs hold up well acoustically. His vocal stylings soar and the hooks are firmly in place.

"Hold on" is instantly winning and catchy. "Chasing Ghosts" examines a lost love and briefly recalls Jeff Buckley. Ayres has the vocal talent and ability to forge good songs. "Sometimes" is sweet and sounds like it might soar with a stronger instrumentation but it sounds good like this too.

Jason Ayres has much more to say and will hopefully do so soon.
