Tokeli arrives on the jazz scene, singing her heart out on these standards as a dynamic band backs her. She croons "Love for Sale" imbuing it with her own brand of sensuality. The version of "As time goes by" has a speedy tempo that's unfamiliar and brilliantly carried out. "Desafinado" gets rendered as the gentle bossa it is.

"I've got the world on a string" is coolly played with a steady tempo. Tokeli's voice is flexible and sweet here. The album's perfect to listen to when you want to unwind. It's calm tempo is interrupted by more up-tempo numbers often enough to prevent it from being too sleepy. Tokeli's an intriguing new voice.
