This song has one of those Neverending Story going up up up forever type melodies. It happens in a hazy dream. It takes a number of listens to really hit you: at first listen, the bassline seems a bit off maybe, the melody doesn't latch on, but when it hits it really does hit. It will be part of your life after that.

Why I bet it'll flash through your mind as that darkness takes over. The way the verse hits at 1:28. And the way that bass down-slides just as it doesn't seem like it could go higher. With a sigh, a backstep, that octave burns right in.
