This EP marks the arrival of an unusual talent. Nancy Elizabeth Cunliffe sings artlessly across a fascinating range of sounds. Opener "Place of Shelter" uses a galloping pace and a pure folk vocal to great effect. "Waiting for Cars" is all hushed atmospheric and Cunliffe playing a harp. That might lead me to compare her to Joanna Newsom, but her vocal is less umm.. eccentric. It's easier on the ear that's for sure.

The title song is a ghostly vocal and nothing else, it shows off the singer's considerable talent. This EP lasts barely sixteen minutes, but it's worth looking into. Here's hoping she makes a full-length soon.
