Yveline
Taming the Tongue
Self-released

Yveline's debut falls into the industrial rock category. Her versatile voice can growl or be sweet with ease and the songs are strong.

"The promise" is a rhythmic song with intriguing melodic focus. Yveline and collaborator James Oylen have done a great song. "The Moor" is an atmospheric, dark track that puts the emphasis on Yveline's gorgeous singing. "Chamber" is doomy and haunted like early Nine Inch Nails was. "Black Rosebud" is suggestive and strong. "Temptress" is an aptly entitled, hard-hitting little number. Yveline's dark siren tones enthrall.

Taming the Tongue should appeal to fans of Curve and Nine Inch Nails.
